Model Validation

FLOWTRADE does not treat model output as sufficient proof.

A configuration must be tested, reviewed, and governed before it can become eligible for live capital.

The validation process is designed to reduce overfitting, test behaviour across different market conditions, assess execution suitability, and confirm that risk controls remain effective before capital is deployed.

Validation Philosophy

FLOWTRADE evaluates configurations across progressively stricter evidence stages.

These may include:

  • research and development;

  • out-of-sample testing;

  • blind validation;

  • walk-forward validation;

  • live-market paper verification;

  • controlled production.

No single test is treated as sufficient proof on its own.

A configuration that performs well in one stage but fails to remain stable, executable, or risk-compliant in the next stage is not promoted.

Promotion Is Governed

Promotion is not based on headline return alone.

Configurations are reviewed across:

  • return behaviour;

  • drawdown behaviour;

  • execution quality;

  • stability;

  • market-regime behaviour;

  • risk compliance;

  • monitoring;

  • reconciliation readiness;

  • governance approval.

A high-return configuration may still fail promotion if its risk, stability, execution behaviour, or operating quality is unacceptable.

Live Capital Is Separate

FLOWTRADE separates live proprietary-capital deployment from research, simulation, and live-market paper verification.

Live production status is only appropriate where a configuration has been approved for controlled deployment and supported by live operating evidence.

Research-stage, simulation-stage, and paper-verification results are not treated as live-capital performance.

Private Evidence

Detailed validation methodology, performance evidence, trade-level records, exchange-ledger reconciliation, and restricted technical materials are maintained in the private investor data room for qualified diligence reviewers.
